To Upgrade or Not to Upgrade

Well, I got that copy of Vista Business sitting on my desk and I'm debating whether to upgrade or not. T-Mobile is allowing free access at their hotspots for people running Vista until April 30. But you can get free WiFi access at Panera Bread. I do go to Starbucks more often... (>.<)

The real problem is that there's no Vista drivers from Sony. They really suck at driver support. We probably wouldn't be seeing driver updates for a lot Sony computers if it weren't for Vista. I fully expect some of them to be buggy beta or RC drivers. That's what they did when XP came out. (T_T) I had to hunt for stable stock drivers. (X.x)

I use
OmegaDrivers because Sony driver hasn't been updated in couple of years and it sucks. You get tearing and all kinds of problems in 3D. You can't even use the chipset manufacturer's drivers either. Damn u Sony!! (╥_─) Oh, the stock Vista audio driver doesn't work and there will be no sound. (T_T) Think of the music... I guess Vista will have to wait.

Sony needs to spend time writing new drivers instead of writing PSP firmware that gets cracked on the day of the release.

Vista & Office 2007

I spend a few days getting my computer back to working order. I did this because the e-mail from Microsoft said it would take 6-8 weeks after RTM for Vista & Office 2007 to get here. I figured I might install Vista in a month or two, but now I have to decide what to do.

I checked my mail box yesterday and there was an envelope from Microsoft. It had my copy of Vista Business and the license key for Office Professional 2007. You have to download Office. (>.<) I wish they would've just included a CD or DVD. I got by copies of the software a day before release to the general public. (^_^)

They just released six patches for Vista. Also I'm not sure if my hardware is supported on Vista. I guess I'll just let it sit for a while and let them release more patches. Maybe Sony will release drivers and whatnot for Vista as well. (Not likely...)

My Laptop Seems to Have Died a Horrible Death

(T_T) Ok, so maybe I'm being a little melodramatic... It seems like my laptop has been FUBARed. It looks like the registry is totally messed up. Not sure what happened, but it looks like I'm going to have to reinstall the OS. That's such a pain in the ass. And I was just planning on stepping up my crusade for justice... perhaps the bastards are trying to throw a monkey wrench into the works. (>.<) Also the DVD drive seems to have lost its ability to read DVD+ discs. (T_T) Sony replaced the drive a few months back. I guess they didn't do such a good job. I'm hoping it's just software issue with the laptop being FUBARed, but I think it's a hardware issue. Have I mentioned how I hate computers?

Now, do I wait for my copy of Vista or do I do this again in a few weeks? I really don't like computers...

LOL (^o^)

I was e-mailing and noticed something. I've learned to ignore the ads that appear on the side in Gmail. I never pay attention since I have no interest in being advertised to unless it involves a cute girl. (^_^);;; No pictures in Gmail ads. I've gotten spam in about four or five languages. And now even Google is advertising to me in another language. I saw two ads in Korean and one in English. I just found it funny since English is my primary language and I forget what it was, but there was something funny in one of the Korean ads. I just looked at the ad space while the page was refreshing. Maybe I should look at that space more often, maybe I'll have more LOL moments.
