I've been in touch with a lady from the Red Cross. She's helping me get a donor card that has my correct name on it. I can see it possibly causing more issues down the line.As I understand it, their database (DB) sucks. Either the database administrator (DBA) is incompetent, lazy, or DBA is competent but the DB sucks, or whatever possible combination it may be things are not working quite right over there. I wasn't going to grill someone not too computer savvy about their DB. I'm also not laying any blames other than the people involved in the purchasing of such crappy DB , the vendor, and/or the designer of the original or whatever iteration that lead to this mess.
Hopefully I can get this sorted out so I can donate again. They constantly send me stuff via e-mail and snail mail about wanting my blood. You'd think they were starving vampires or something...
