I Hate* Crap Companies...

*Hate is a very strong word and I just use it for emphasis. I don't really mean it. (^_^);;

I just got off the phone with Micron. I left a voice mail. I hope somebody listens to it and does something about it. They are the people behind such brands as Crucial and Lexar. I thought it was a decent company, but it turns out it's not.

I need to get a Lexar Firefly drive replaced. They used a cheap plastic and perhaps it's poor design or both, anyhoo it developed a crack across the casing and there's a little hole where a piece of the plastic fell off. The tech support rep told me that it's a physical damage and they won't replace it. Yeah, a physical damage due to manufacturing (and perhaps design) defect. I'm not in the business of paying for other people's mistakes. I told her to get me her supervisor and she started to repeat herself so I had to cut her off and firmly tell her to get me her supervisor. The supervisor took care of it. I have to say I'm not very fond of out sourcing support. (>_<#) They both were a little hard to understand, they didn't have a grasp of English like the support people here and the phone system was horrid. It was worse than Samsung and Cisco's. They had to repeat things constantly and I had to repeat things constantly. It was a pain. (>.<)

As much as I dislike writing these things, but if it helps at least one customer avoid this kind of hell it's all worth it. I'm going to revise my recommendations concerning Micron brands. Simply avoid it.
